ICM Photography — you either love it, or it gives you a headache! As you might have guessed, I’m on the lover’s side!

Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) is a creative technique that combines deliberate camera motion with a slow shutter speed to create abstract, painterly images. It transforms the ordinary into dreamlike compositions, blending shapes and textures in ways traditional photography never could.

What I love most about ICM is its beautiful unpredictability. Because movement, light, and timing never align the same way twice, every single press of the shutter yields a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art.

Best of all? You don't need a gear bag full of expensive accessories to do this. I don't use ND filters for my ICM work, so no extra filters are needed.

In this workshop, I’ll show you my exact approach to this technique, guiding you through intentional movement in both color and black & white photography.

Workshop Info

We’ll start our day with a coffee or tea at a local café — my treat! This is a great chance to get to know each other, share expectations and discuss any specific wishes you might have for the workshop.

I speak English, German, Swiss German and of course, my mother tongue Dutch, fluently.

To get the most out of this workshop, you should already feel comfortable adjusting your camera’s exposure settings — aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Travel light, no tripod needed.

Cancellation Policy

The cancellation policy allows for a full refund if you cancel at least 10 days prior to the workshop date. For cancellations made less than 10 days before the workshop, no refund will be given, but you may choose to attend another workshop hosted by me.
